Señorío de Librares – Garnacha

Señorío de Librares – Garnacha

£23.00 GBP
Bright red fruit and gentle spice wrapped in a silky, high-altitude Garnacha frame.

100% Garnacha with time split between French and American oak and concrete, giving both lift and gentle spice. It pours a deep cherry red, aromas of strawberry and raspberry drifting out with a little seasoning from the barrels. The palate is silky and balanced, ripeness and acidity in step, fine tannins carrying a finish of bright red fruit and cherry. Freshness from concrete, texture from oak, everything sitting comfortably together.

The fruit comes from Tudelilla at the foot of the Sierra La Hez, 500 meters up, where continental and Mediterranean influences meet and steady winds keep the vines clean. Slow, even ripening preserves the clarity of Garnacha, and fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperatures keeps the character honest.

Señorio de Librares is a family winery rooted in Rioja tradition, stretching back to Pedro María Espinosa, whose wines were honoured in Paris in 1878. Today the new generation leans into sustainable, low-intervention methods and lighter-touch packaging, crafting wines that respect their history while speaking to a modern palate.
