Pécharmant 2021

A vibrant, structured red with ripe blackcurrant and plum at its heart, backed by hints of pepper, earthy clay and a touch of graphite from the ferruginous Pécharmant soils. It’s medium to full-bodied with polished, supple tannins and a chalk-edged finish, balanced by refreshing acidity and a savoury herbal thread. 

Château Barouillet is an eight-generation family estate led by Vincent Alexis, who has steered the domaine toward organic and biodynamic practice while still making wines that bridge natural authenticity with classic Southwest French structure and balance. Pécharmant is their flagship red blend, marrying Bordeaux varieties in a style that’s both expressive and elegantly rustic.
