Metic Merlot

Bright and juicy, but still grounded. This is an approachable Merlot with ripe blackberry fruit, a touch of spice and smoke, and just enough texture to hold its own with pizza, roast veg or grilled salmon.

Created by Luca Hodgkinson and José Miguel Sotomayor in Chile’s Colchagua/Santa Cruz region, Metic works with sustainably farmed (mostly organic) old-vine Merlot. Native yeast fermentation, minimal sulphur, no fining and gentle filtration keep things honest and expressive.
