LaRural - macabeu

This hits bright and textural, bursting with apricot, pineapple and melon, with a thread of dried herbs and a lovely saline lift. About five days on skins keeps the colour pale but the aromas vivid, giving just enough grip to keep it interesting without tipping into full-orange territory.

LaRural is the project of brothers Xavi and Andreu Padró, working their family’s organically farmed vines in Alt Camp, Tarragona, 30 km from the Med. Old parcels on clay-limestone soils, native yeast ferments and no additions.
