This is a lovely light red that feels super approachable yet lively, ripe red berries and raspberries up front with a touch of spice and a juicy, fresh finish. It’s got that breezy South African charm where crunchy fruit and gentle savoury notes mingle, making the whole thing feel energetic rather than heavy, and perfect something a bit tomato-rich or smoky. 

Rook en Spieëls capture the spirit of old-vine Cinsault from organically farmed, dry-grown vineyards on the Paarl–Swartland line, letting the fruit do its thing with minimal cellar fuss. Whole clusters and native yeasts give the wine crisp texture and vibrant aromatics, while the low-intervention approach makes this feel authentic and effortless in the glass.
