Cora de Loxarel

Fragrant, peachy and beautifully fresh, this is one of those aromatic whites that still finishes properly dry. White flowers, almond blossom, vineyard peach and honeysuckle lead the way, with Xarel·lo bringing freshness and a little savoury tension underneath all that Muscat perfume. There’s a soft, almost honeyed feel through the middle, but the finish stays clean and lively rather than sweet. 

Loxarel is the family estate of Josep Mitjans in the Alt Penedès, farming entirely with organic grapes and using biodynamic practices throughout the vineyards. The name itself nods to Xarel·lo, the local variety at the heart of the project, and the wines have that nice balance of traditional Penedès character with a slightly more adventurous, low-intervention spirit.
