A bright, lifted Gamay grown on volcanic soils in the Côtes du Forez, the Loire’s wild edge. Wild strawberry and crushed raspberry meet a flicker of white pepper and graphite. The texture is sleek, the acidity glides, and a subtle smoky minerality hums beneath it all. Light, pure, and quietly magnetic.

Catherine Verdier and Philippe Logel have farmed their high-altitude basalt slopes organically since the 1990s. Their wines channel the region’s volcanic character rather than obscure it; fruit that feels alive, acid that sings, and a finish that flickers like cooled lava.
