Pinot Gris

Light, mineral and wild, this is skin-contact Pinot Gris with a wonderfully delicate touch. The five-day maceration brings gentle grip and texture rather than full-on orange-wine heft, with bright citrus, subtle stone fruit and a cool, stony freshness running through it. 

Sophie Evans farms a handful of small parcels in Kent after training with 2Naturkinder in Germany. Everything is done on a tiny scale, with herbal preparations and biodynamic practices in the vineyard, hand work wherever possible, indigenous fermentation and very little intervention once the grapes reach the cellar. Her first vintage from these Kent vines was only in 2022, so this is still a very young project, but already one with a really clear identity.
