Vinified entirely in a traditional palmento on the slopes of Mount Etna, this is about as Etna as it gets: juicy cherry, redcurrant, savoury edges, volcanic grip, and a zap of acidity. Mostly Nerello Mascalese with a handful of local grapes, fermented in stone vats, steel, and buried qvevri. Fine tannins, wild energy, and total drinkability. It won’t even flinch if you give it a chill.
Made by Anna Martens and Eric Narioo, who’ve been crafting low-intervention wines from old, organically farmed vines on Etna since 2008.
