Le Gamay des Cousins

Crunchy, lively and made for easy drinking, this is Loire Gamay with wild blackberry, redcurrant and plenty of bright, mouth-watering acidity. A little peppery spice, pencil shaving and crushed-stone savouriness keep all that juicy fruit feeling grown-up, but never serious or heavy. 

Montgilet is a six-generation family estate based just south of Angers, rooted in the schist soils of Anjou Noir. The domaine is now run by six cousins who joined the family project in 2023, and this range was created specifically around fresh, light wines for sharing with friends and family.
