Zesty and bone-dry, this is Chenin in its sharpest heels: lime zest, green-apple crunch, white flowers and a lick of saline. Bright acidity slices through, but there’s just enough flesh to keep things deliciously moreish.
Domaine Ogereau are fifth-generation growers in Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay, Anjou. Certified organic, they farm Chenin across schist slopes in Saint-Lambert, Beaulieu-sur-Layon and Rochefort-sur-Loire.
Everything is low-intervention: hand harvests, indigenous yeasts, and a patient élevage on lees in tiled underground vats!
