Cuvée Révolutionnaire Merlot-Tannat (Alcohol Free)

Dark-fruited, smooth and surprisingly proper for an alcohol-free red. Blackberry and plum meet a little peppery spice and vanilla, with Merlot bringing softness while Tannat adds enough grip to stop the whole thing feeling like posh grape juice. Medium-bodied, gently tannic and dry on the finish, it’s made for pasta, shepherd’s pie, roast veg or anything hearty and savoury.

Moderato specialise in dealcoholised wines made from classic South West French varieties. The important bit is that they start with actual wine, then gently remove the alcohol under vacuum at low temperature. It means this keeps considerably more of the fruit, tannin and shape you actually want from a red, rather than trying to imitate wine from scratch.
