Antonio Camillo - Vermentino

Fresh, zesty & salty, this is Vermentino doing exactly what you want it to do. Lime, green apple and citrus peel lead the way, with a little dried herb note and that clean sea-spray freshness that makes the whole thing feel bright and mouth-watering rather than fruity for the sake of it. 

Antonio Camillo spent years working in some of Maremma’s important wineries before starting his own project in 2006, focusing on native Tuscan grapes and older vineyards. Multiple merchant and importer notes describe a low-intervention approach, very little stress on the vines, only natural vineyard products, and cellar work centred on concrete and large old wood rather than flashy make-up. That all tracks in the glass, this feels honest, sunlit and rooted in place, not overworked.
